US Indian War Era, M1874 Meatcan

Original period manuracture. First general issue meatcan or messkit issued to the US Army (can't really count the M1872 contraption) which saw use in new and improved versions up through the Vietnam War, that's over 100 years.Gray finished steel body with a movable handle which is faintly US proofed on its end. Even gray patina finish to the body, normal age and wear.
