Third Reich RLB Officers Dagger Belt Loop

Probably the rarest of all dagger accoutrements, so rare that most dealers and even the the most advanced collectors are unaware of it's existence.Most have knowledge of the special belt loop associated with the HJ leader, but not the one issued with the RLB Leader dagger.Appearing the same at first glance, they differ in major ways: RLB is a wider leather loop to accommodate the dimensions of the relevant waist belt, and is finished in a point, riveted through, whilst the the HJ leather finishes in a square cut which is stitched to hold the clip in the lower loop. Additionally HJ leaders have an RZM number, RLB does not, possibly pointing to an earlier, pre RZM design. They share the nickelled two stage suspension clip which in all cases appears to be a hand finished stamping.The item offered here is in near mint condition, leather has some minor cracking at the top bend and a perfect rivet holding the clip in the bottom. Clip itself has fabulous age toning and should not be cleaned.Expensive? Yes but you will NEVER see another.NB.
