Third Reich Studetenbund Buckle and Belt-M4/38

An extremely rare aluminium buckle introduced for wear by Student League Leaders coupled with a brown leather political style belt. John Angolia describes the buckle in his reference 'Belt Buckles and Brocades of the Third Reich':-'The only known specimens are molded aluminium bearing the RZM (double circle) M3/38 manufacturers code (Richard Sieper & Söhne)' 'The buckle depicts the eagle emblem clutching the Studetenbund diamond, and surrounded by a rectangular oak leaves wreath. This same pattern buckle is also attributed to N.P.E.A. Leaders.' This reference also includes a period photo of the buckle in wear.Buckle in worn, but near perfect condition, confirms precisely to this description.
