Sold
£350.00

Description

A superb Royal Navy issue 21 jewel Elgin that served during WW2 as a navigator's watch in the Royal Navy - This can be evidenced by the presence of the Hydrographic Survey reference, H.S.3.This Deck Watch is virtually pristine, showing only the lightest signs of carry or storage wear. It is in perfect working order, keeping excellent time. During their service life, they were cared for by the Admiralty Chronometer Branch, who serviced them at regular intervals. As the watches were adjusted for optimum performance in 5 Positions and for Temperature variations, this guaranteed them as highly reliable timepieces; this one still is.
