WW1 Wolseley Pattern Pith Helmet

A textbook WW1 pattern helmet with green cotton lining to the underside of the brim and khaki cotton crown lining. Khaki cotton over cork with Puggaree. The ink stamp marking are partially obscured by areas of light damage to the interior lining. Has its leather sweatband. This example has been fitted with an Australian WW1 period rising sun hat badge with a slider reverse. Retains a good hard shell and original shape. Overall light service wear and almost appealing light soiling.
