An Original New South Wales Merryweather Fireman's Brass Helmet.

Brass Merryweather pattern helmet made by Rider and Bell (Sydney NSW). These helmets were in use for a very long time from the turn of the last century through to the 1960's in some cases. The black leather liner is an original but period replacement due to service use. Nearly all of these have had their liners replace at some stage. The liner is in VGC. The main body of the helmet has a few dings in the side and only adds to the overall character. Overall very nice condition.
