Prussia, Kingdom. A Royal House Order of Hohenzollern, Military Division Knight's Cross Miniature

Constructed of gilded silver with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse bearing a central white enameled medallion overlaid by a Hohenzollern imperial eagle, situated within a blue enameled ring bearing an inscription of 'VOM FELS ZUM MEER' ('FROM THE CLIFFS TO THE SEA') with laurel branches, pierced by gilt crossed swords, the reverse bearing a central white enameled medallion overlaid by a gilt monogram of King Friedrich Wilhelm IV, situated within a blue enameled ring bearing a gilt date of 'DEN 18. JANUAR 1851' with laurel branches, the twelve o'clock arm topped by an integral loop connecting to a crown suspension, in turn affixed with a loop connecting to a boutonniere retaining an original ribbon, unmarked.
