Third Reich : Fire Service (Feuerwehr) Dress Sidearm complete with Frog.

Standard Feuerwehr bayonet-style sidearm with 25cms long single-fullered blade, 'S'-shaped quillon and excellent black chequered rivetted grips. The plating on the blade, quillon and pommel is all intact with only the very minimum signs of wear. The ricasso bears the distributors 'HMH' logo of Hoppe & Homann Hufeisenfabrik, Minden. The original leather washer is still in place.The black-painted scabbard is undamaged with no dents but has clearly been repainted. The item is complete with its original black patent-leather frog which is in nice condition with all stitching tight and only the usual age wrinkling to the patent finish.
