Royal Navy Cap-tally 'R.N.H' (Royal Naval Hospital)

Full-length ribbon with gold wire woven initials which have some very minor age-darkening / tarnish to part of the lettering otherwise excellent condition.A Royal Naval Hospital (RNH) was a hospital operated by the Royal Navy for the care and treatment of injured or sick naval personnel. A network of these establishments was situated around the world to suit British interests and were part of the Royal Naval Medical Service.In 1996 the UK's last remaining Royal Naval Hospital was redesignated as a Joint Services establishment; but finally closed about a decade later. No Royal Naval Hospitals are now in operation although several have become NHS civilian hospitals.
