Royal Navy Ship's Cap-tally 'HMS Mercury'.

Full-length ribbon with gold wire woven ship's name which has minor age-darkening / tarnish to some of the lettering otherwise excellent condition..There have been numerous Royal Navy ships with the name Mercury. In 1941 the name HMS Mercury was granted to a shore establishment of the Royal Navy, and the site of the Royal Navy Signals School and Combined Signals School near Petersfield in Hampshire. It closed in 1995.
