US Civil War M1858 .44 Caliber Starr Revolver & Holster

Original era manufacture. This is a well used old hero, would rate it in fair condition only. It is all there, with readable markings on each side of the frame.The metal is dark overall, the cylinder will not index, yet will move a bit when pressure is applied to the trigger; the hammer willmove and act like it would like to operate.Original finish wood grips with no visible markings. There is a neat old-time repair on the trigger guard, being two domed steel rivets held in place by a small brass panel.Atthe time of our purchase the pistol was living happily in this period looking black leather holster. Not sure if this is genuine US regulation, but the pistol fits properly, with sound stitching to the holster body.
