Scarce WW II locally made early pattern embroidered example of the red jerboa {Desert Rat} on a white painted leather backing within a red felt circle on a cardboard backing. Enduring much of the harsh fighting in the Wester-Desert this Division quickly earned itself the nickname,' Desert Rats.' {Paper stuck to reverse, removed from album and small section of the red felt absent at 6 o'clock}
