Rare brass Victorian shako badge with two loops to the reverse worn by the 2nd. Monmouthshire Rifle Volunteers from 1861-1864 on the grey Kepi. The number, ' 36 ' to the centre of a curled bugle horn backed by a pair of crossed rifles above the furled scroll, ' Gwell.Angau.Na.Gwarth.' and surmounted by the crown within a spray of laurel.
