Officer's Tam O'Shanter, Cameronians

WW2 period tam made by Wm. Anderson & Sons Ltd, Edinburgh and fitted with a heavy cast officers pattern cap badge with tartan backing. Named on the label to Major J.L. Gaussen. Research shows that he was awarded the Military Cross, was wounded on the retreat to Dunkirk and later in Italy, and was also Mentioned in Dispatches in 1943
