Japanese WWII Naval Pattern Rising Sun Flag, 53 x 78 Inches

Original period manufacture. All cotton construction with a printed design, made from two equal length, horizontal sections. Three leather reinforced brass grommets on the hoist with white cloth ties strings for mounting.Light staining from age and use, in a lower corner is a 35 x 17 mm hole, and a clean repair in the center of the flag next to the seam, measuring 7 x 5 inches, hard to see. There are a few other scattered small holes in the body, but nothing terrible.Large pattern Rising Sun Flags are not too common, especially Navy style.
