Turkish 19th Century Officers Sword Belt and Buckle

Original era manufacture. A nice quality belt which dates to the 19th century, and looks to have a considerable British influence to it's design.Cast, gilded brass buckle with a star and moon on the obverse. Maroon and gold adjustable brocade belt in an intricate design, with a red velvet backing material. Two sword straps in a matching brocade, backed with red Moroccan leather. The short strap retains its small leather strap and buckle used to attach to the scabbard ring, the longer strap is missing the small strap and buckle.Small brass hook and linked chain forward of the first sword strap to allow the sword to be worn at the hip.Overall, quite sound, normal age and wear.
