French M1874 Gras Bayonet St Etienne 1878, Matching Numbers

Original era manufacture. A very clean example with a brass pommel and sound wooden grips. T-shaped polished steel blade measuring 21 inches in length, even steel patina finish to the guard. Arsenal marked on the spine, St.Etienne 1878.Dent free blue steel finished scabbard, with minimal light surface corrosion. Matching serial numbers guard to scabbard, 2159.There are a few minor bumps to the grips, but overall this is a very clean example of this well-made bayonet, and somewhat a rarity in that it is matching.
