Japanese WWII Type 5 Summer Tunic, Showa 11, 1936

Original era manufacture. An early pattern tunic in light olive green cotton, and two upper pockets, with stand-up collar.Wool felt collar tabs in black for Military Police, these may be replacements, mismatched shoulder rank straps for Sergeant Major. Sewn to the left chest of the tunic is an Order of the Rising Sun 8th class. Three red wool diligence stripes on the right sleeve.Issue stamps on the interior of the tunic, normal age and wear, with a small tear at the top right corner of the right pocket. Clean otherwise.
