French, 2nd Empire, Napoleon I, Carved Meerschaum Pipe and Case

Original period manufacture. A nicely carved meerschaum pipe depicting the head and neck of NapoleonI. There are a few small surface cracks in the bowl, which shows evidence of being smoked. The composition stem has broken away from the threaded post which holds the stem in place. Thethreaded attaching point is present, but the stem is pretty much irreparable. Comes with a nice fitted leather covered hard case, still displays quite well. The pipe measures five inches in length.
