QSA 1899-1902 With clasps for Tugela Heights, Orange Free State, Relief of Ladysmith, Transvaal, Laing's Nek, K.S.A 1901-1902 With clasps for South Africa 1901 & South Africa 1902, WW1 Pair & Memorial plaqueTo- 3812.PTE.A.HAY.13th.HUSSARS (QSA/KSA)& 703492.PTE.A.E.HAY.102-CAN.INF (WW1 Pair)Alfred Ernest Hay served with the 13th Hussars during the Boer war & with the 102nd Canadian infantry during WW1. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 19-10-1916 age 36. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the Vimy memorial. The CWGC state that he was the late son of Annie & John Hay & that he served with the 13th Hussars during the South African campaign.GVF or better with a couple of dark spots of verdigris on the memorial plaque. Complete with medal roll details & CWGC details.
