He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 19-10-1916 age 36. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the Vimy memorial. The CWGC state that he was the late son of Annie & John Hay & that he served with the 13th Hussars during the South African campaign.GVF or better with a couple of dark spots of verdigris on the memorial plaque.
