GVR WW1 Royal Navy M.S.M To- T.S.5210.P.KILGAR.ENGMN.R.N.R.FORWARD.HOMINSWEEPING 1918.Patrick Joseph Kilgar from Hull enlisted in to the Royal Naval Reserve 3-3-1916 whilst living at 30 Elm Street, Queen's Road, Hull. He was awarded the MSM in the London gazette 24-3-1919 for minesweeping services onboard the Forward Ho From 4-7-1918 to 31-12-18. He was discharged in 1919 & is also entitled to the WW1 pair.The Trawler Forward Ho was a hired trawler based in Hull that served 1915-1919 admiralty number 1560 & had one six pounder gun onboard & served as a minesweeper.GVF/NEF & Complete with both copy service papers & London gazette details.
