Original era manufacture. An original brass mounted leather scabbard for the 1862 Zouave bayonet. The stitching is sound, no flaking to the leather surface, with a slight crease in the leather below the scabbard throat.We checkedthe blade to scabbard fit on our item 41261, and this scabbard fits the blade perfectly. The proverbial needle in a haystack.
