Japanese WWII, Civil Defense Helmet, Cast Aluminum

Original era manufacture. A cast aluminum helmet with a brown painted finish, with a white band of white paint around the base of the helmet. There are numerous hand done kanji written on the white band.Only portions of the simple lining remain, no chinstrap. The helmet itself is free of cracks and displays quite well.
