German Pre WWI M1895 Prussian Enilisted Infantry Pickelhaube, Complete

Original era manufacture. An honest example purchasedout of a local estate, the helmet being presented to the owner as a child in the 1930's by an Uncle who brought it home from WWI.Sound black leather body, with tightly stitched front & rear visors, and its original black leather liner intact. All brass fittings, with no extra holes behind theeagle wappen, with faint unit inkstamps on the underside of the rear visor.The chinstrap and cockades are replacements, or at least in the case of the cockades repainted.Likely the originals lost by the original owner as a child when playing with his helmet. A sound old helmet with an interesting history, as the owner later served asa US Army officer in the Philippines during WWII.
