Austrian Heimwehr Medal of Merit, Anti-Communist Medal 1934

Original Era Manufacture.A very well made and quite dramatic looking medal, 30x50 mm eagle, with a profile of a German helmet with crossed swords behind it. Original green/white silk ribbonshowing normal age and wear. Identified as the Austrian 'Heimwehr' Medal of merit awarded for the suppression of a communist uprising in Vienna in February 1934.
