US Indian War Era Army officers Belt & Buckle

Original era manufacture. Very nice gilded brass officers pattern buckle. Deep relief to the obverse with lots of gilding on the reverse. Looks like someone's initials and the outline of a guidon have been scratched into the surface. The leather belt is sound but little of the surface finish remains. Missing its brass buckle keeper. Great buckle though.
