Eagle Comic childrens club membership badge and star

A scarce original circa 1950's 1960's period gilt brass 'Eagle comic club membership badge' with additional 2 Eagle Club star. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings.Height approx 62mm.The Eagle weekly comic was founded by Marcus Morris, the first issue published 14th April 1950 to 26th April 1969 and relaunched again from 1982 to 1994. Its main character was Dan Dare, Pilot of the Future. Readers were invited to join the Eagle club by way of a subscription and a member would receive an Eagle badge, a rulebook, and a list of membership privileges.
