Norwich Incendiary Souvenirs.

Sold
£90.00

Description

Whilst I cannot unconditionally guarantee that this grouping of incendiary fins and partial bomb originate from the Baedeker raids on Norwich in April and May 1942, there is a good probability they are. Recently found in the area and kept and purchased together they represent the common detritus of a bombing raid with both steel fins clearly showing the effects of the ignition of the bomb with the residual nose showing similar molten damage. Nose carries faint markings suggesting a 1940 manufacture date. Evocative souvenirs of ' Firebomb Fritz '.INERT
