Boy Scouts 2nd class first pattern brass sleeve award badge

A rare original 'Boy Scout 'Be Prepared' brass scroll, worn on the left sleeve, the original solid ends now fretted and bearing registration numbers 'REGD 539538' a design and patent year 1909. Very good condition, complete with original loop fitting and split pin, twisted wire thong to base of scroll now absent.Size approx 41 x 20mm.
