Original era manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 26.5 inches in length, no visible temper line, and the tang is not signed. No nicks or damage to the cutting edge, no corrosion issues and the tip remains sharp.Decorative cast brass guard, brown cloth wrapped grip, with patterned cloth beneath instead of the normally seen fish skin. Two brass menuki, brass pommel cap.Leather covered wooden scabbard, typical age scuffing to the surface, but no breaks or tears, and the leather lacing is intact.
