Japanese Early Katana & Scabbard

Original era manufacture. Handmade blade, with two mounting holes in the squared off tang. The blade measures 23.5 inches in length, is clean, butnone of the temper line remains visible, few small nicks in the edge, very sharp to the touch. Nice pierced tsuba, with gold highlighted menuki, and a nice gold highlighted pommel, securing peg is missing. There is a leather field cover over the wood bodied scabbard, old electrical tape repair at the throat. Signed blade. Not a stellar example, but an honest old sword regardless.
