Description
This is an attractive - and with certainly very scarcely encountered! - truly later-war period, WH (Heeres) machine-embroidered trade- and/or special career patch (ie.: 'Laufbahn- o. Tätigkeitsabzeichen') having a silverish-grey-toned 'Kordel' period-attached as was specifically intended for a usage by a: 'geprüfter Nachrichtenmechaniker-Unteroffizier' (or: qualified signals-mechanic ie. NCO having at least one-year experience in this function) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem still 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-) condition. The patch is neatly machine-embroidered in golden-yellow-toned linnen onto a field-grey-coloured and/or woolen-based background. The patch is not maker-marked and shows a (black-coloured, linnen-based) 'backing' attached (which is common for these badges). The patch was as such intended for a qualified-specialist ie. 'geprüter Nachrichtenmechaniker-Unteroffizier' having at least one-years experience in this function. It should be noted that this is actually a very scarcely encountered 'Heeres' trade- ie. special career-patch that was only introduced as late as May 1944. The piece on offer here was simply never used and cannot be upgraded: it does shows some minimal age and/or staining (and minimal glue- ie. carton-remains) simply caused by decades of storage and having been glued into an album or scrapbook once. Simply a very attractive, later-war period WH (Heeres) speciality-patch ie. 'Tätigkeits-Abzeichen' that is actually not that often offered for sale!
