The truly attractive - and I deem simply never used nor worn! - neatly 'cyphered' WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboard-pair is piped in the typical black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour: as such, the pair was intended for usage by a junior-officer holding the rank of an: 'Oberleutnant der Pioniere u. Mitglied des Regimentsstabes 42' (ie. enigineers lieutnant first-class who served within a specific engineers staff-unit, numbered: '42'). The attractive pair was simply never used nor worn and comes in a truly 'virtually mint- ie. unissued', condition. The shoulderboards - which are constructed from the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured, 'smooth-type' (ie. moleskin-like-) wool - come in an excellent condition overall and will be impossible to be upgraded (the pair is fully matching in all details as can be seen on the pictures). The somewhat 'sub-dued' appearance of the 'upperdecks' is fully present and/or preserved (something that is to be expected for a 'Heeres'-related shoulderboard-pair). The boards are just a tiny bit 'tarnished' by normal age and/or storage for decades and do show some age and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat boards - which measure approximately 11,4 cms. in length each - show a pair of (fully matching, larger-sized, bright-golden-toned, and/or 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: '4'- and/or: '2'-cyphers (ie. numerals or 'Ziffern') and dito pair of (equally-styled and smaller-sized) pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank ie. function of an: 'Oberleutnant der Pioniere u. Mitglied des Regimentsstabes 42'. The boards never had any tongues attached and were clearly intended as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). This pair originated from an older shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive, 'Heeres'-related officers'-type shoulderboard-pair that was intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant der Pioniere u. Mitglied des Regimentsstabes 42'!
