Cased Police 25 Years Long Service Award

Cased Police 25 Years Long Service Award (Polizei-Dienstauszeichnung mit etui). On 30 January 1938, Hitler instituted a series of Long Service Awards to recognize loyal long service in the German Police. The award was originally issued in three classes with the first class award for twenty-five years service, the second class award for eighteen years service and the third class award for eight years service. This is a nice gold washed first class award for twenty-five years service. The medal is complete with its original long sized blue coloured ribbon and green coloured box of issue as found, the ribbon is showing a nicely embroidered eagle. The box has some normal useage at the corners what is seen often on these boxes. The set comes with a matching ribbon-bar as found together. Nice set in very good condition!
