US Indian Wars Army Issue Cup or Dipper

Original era manufacture.Classic issue cup of the Indian and Spanish American Wars. Tinned steel with a US embossed into the top of the handle. Dark steel patina with scattered surface corrosion. No holes or major dents. At one time Bannerman & Company had 4,000 of these in stock and advertised them as being good for painters to use as paintcans. Price in 1950....around 50 cents.One of my all-time favorite military relics.'Oh the drums they roll upon my soul, and this is the style we go, forty miles a day on beans and hay in the Regular Army-O' I can just hear the old soldiers singing this song as they drink their coffee round the campfire.
