Description

original period manufacture. An emotive grouping of medals and paperwork presented to the family of Private Michael John Welsh, CEF, who lost his life on 27 November 1917. Service number 648950, 26th Battalion. The grouping includes his large bronze Memorial Plaque, Silver Memorial Cross, named British pattern Victory Medal,  a memorial sheet from King George, and a small card presented with the memorial cross.Private Welsh was born in 1882, and is buried in the Etaples Military Cemetery near the city of Boulogne. Light age and wear.
