Description
These enamel cufflinks are in good condition and were produced for the NSB during World War II.A unique set for the Dutch collaboration or NSB collection! The NSB (National Socialist Movement)The NSB, short for Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging in Nederland (National Socialist Movement in the Netherlands), was a far-right political party founded in 1931 by Anton Mussert and Cornelis van Geelkerken. The party was heavily inspired by German National Socialism under Adolf Hitler.Initially, the NSB focused on authoritarian nationalism, but by the late 1930s it had radicalized and adopted an openly antisemitic stance.During the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II, the NSB actively collaborated with the Nazis. Mussert was recognized by the occupiers as the 'Leader of the Dutch People,' but he held little real power. The NSB was involved in the persecution of Jews and supported the German regime. After the liberation in 1945, the NSB was banned, and many of its members were arrested and prosecuted for collaboration.Article number: 15550
