Founded in 1934 and modeled after the Hitler Youth, the NJS targeted boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 18. Its goal was to raise loyal followers of National Socialism, emphasizing discipline, obedience, and patriotism. The organization offered activities such as sports, marches, camps, and ceremonies, all within an ideological framework. Most members came from NSB families.Although the NJS was formally independent, it was in practice closely influenced and controlled by the NSB.During the German occupation, the NJS became more active, though it remained relatively small compared to similar organizations in Germany. After the liberation in 1945, the Nationale Jeugdstorm was banned and dissolved.Article number: 15552
