WW1 RSPCA Auxiliary Army Veterinary Corps AVC badge

A scarce original First World War period gilt and enamel pin badge, the centre depicting a horses head within a Crowned title circlet 'For Sick And Wounded Horses' this resting on a scroll 'RSPCA Auxiliary A.V.C', the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Excellent condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.Height approx 37mm.
