Description
This rare SA postcard is in good condition and features a portrait of Ernst Rohm.Interesting for the militaria or World War II collection!Ernst Röhm (1887–1934) was a German military officer and one of the earliest members of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP). He played a key role in building the Sturmabteilung (SA), the paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party, and was known as a loyal ally of Adolf Hitler in the movement's early years. Röhm aimed for a revolutionary restructuring of the German army, which brought him into conflict with conservative forces within the Nazi regime. His growing power and radical ideas eventually made him a threat to Hitler. In June 1934, Röhm was arrested and shortly thereafter executed during the so-called 'Night of the Long Knives,' a purge in which Hitler eliminated rivals within the party.Article number: 15560
