Description

Waffen-SS collar tab intended for a member within the '27.SS-Freiwilligen-Grenadier-Division 'Langemarck' (flämische Nr.1)'. As with other foreign volunteer units, the Germans devised and produced special insignia intended for these soldiers. The collar tab is showing an embroidered 3 legged swastika 'so called Trifos' in white thread on black wool. The collar tab is having a nice light-brown, colored 'buckram' backing. The collar-tab originates almost certainly from the SS clothing department at the Dachau KZ when liberated in 1945.
