Original era manufacture. A very bright looking example, complete with chinstrap, both cockades and the silk curtain inside the top of the helmet.Bright, fire-gilt finish to the brass fittings, removable spike with its original wappen, no extra holes behind the wappen.The leather body of the helmet is sound, and thefront visor is securely sewn to the body. The sides of the rear visor have begun to curl inward a bit, typical for these old helmets, with a one inch section of the top edge, right side, having chipped away. Wide, brown leather sweatband with a scalloped edge, and a green silk curtain above, which covers the screwposts and nuts which hold everything together.
