Japanese WWII Nomonhan Medal, Cased

Original era manufacture. Medal which commemorates the battles between the Imperial Japanese Army and Red Army in Manchuria in 1939. The battles resulted in a decisive defeat for Imperial Japan and marked the rising star of the Red Army commander. The medal is complete with it's original ribbon and resides in it's original case of issue. The only issue is the paper hinge on the issue case has torn away.
