A scarce original First World War period 'Royal Flying Corps pilot's wing regimental pin badge', large impressive gilt bulbous winged example, the central embossed 'RFC' inlaid with blue enamel, the George V Crown in red. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, enamel intact minor defect to 'R', gilt finish remains bright.Wingspan approx 60mm.'The 'Royal Flying Corps' and the 'Royal Naval Air Service' merged on 1 April 1918 to form the 'Royal Air Force'.
