Japanese WWII Army Battle Damaged Helmet, Complete Strap, Partial Liner

Sold
$450.00

Description

Original era manufacture. A rather dramatic example of the standard Japanese Army helmet of WWII.Most of the original paint finish remains, with the back side displaying considerable shrapnel damage to the shell. The front of the helmet has a brass Army pattern star instead of the factory installed steel example. It matches in age and wear, and could be a period modification by an NCO or officer. Two of the three liner pads remain, along with a complete, full length canvas chinstrap.
