Japanese WWII Army Helmet, Restoration Project

Original period manufacture. Standard IJA helmet of WWII, this one displays a post WWII gloss green paint finish mixed with surface corrosion patina. The good news is that all three of the chinstrap mounting loops are intact with three rather salty attaching rings are also there. Portions of the leather liner band remain along with two rather crusty liner pads. Replaced army star displaying the same corrosion finish as the helmet shell.
