Extremely rare WW I linen armband with steel three-pronged clasp to the end. Originally white with red lined edges the armband bears the Red Geneva Cross an issue number, '7352' an 'Army Medical Service ' and a feint 'Red Cross?' stamp and the date,' 15-2-17'. Affixed to the armband is the scarce silver and enamel ' China Convoy' lapel badge with brooch pin fitting and Chinese makers details to the reverse. The badge features the ' Quaker's Star' and the title ' Friends' War Relief Service'. {See my item 29633 for variant pattern}
