Gilt and enamel Ministry of Information ' Committee Member ' lapel badge. The M.O.I. committees were established to ensure that official information was passed accurately and speedily to all who needed it. As such they were intended to play a key part of the post-raid services advising the public through the use of posters, loudspeaker vans, leaflets etc. Although not considered to be particularly effective they did however, try their best to alleviate the chaos post raid. No uniforms were deemed necessary and members were identified by lapel badges. Good, clean condition.
