A THIRD REICH 'SOUVENIR' RING FROM AFRIKA 1943.

These souvenir rings were made locally and sold to German troops in the Africa Korps during the desert campaign. This one is a large size and seems to be made of silver or nickel silver. Has been used and worn a fair bit. The design on the front features a typical 'desert' town scene. Buildings, a palm tree etc. There is a very small swastika on the roof on one of the buildings and at the bottom in large letters 'AFRIKA 1943' Africa is spelt the German way with a K.
