Anthony Carter in no longer with us unfortunately, but he was an amazing author and researcher for edged weapons, especially bayonets.This was to be the first of 2 volumes identifying German sword and dagger makers through history.The research carried out is amazing with alphabetical listings and a brief history of all the makers in Germany. Unfortunately he died before the second volume was finished M-Z. However, all his near complete research was extensively reviewed, compiled and published later as a complete work 'German Knife and Sword Makers'. This huge reference book is also out of print.Its good to have at least the 1st volume though. VERY interesting indeed.
